The Enneagram is a dynamic, accurate, powerful model of the human psyche and personality.
It describes nine types that arise from 9 points of view / core beliefs about the world, yourself & others,
and about how to survive and thrive in the world.
Each point of view gives birth to an entire personality, which is the way we deal with the world, or in other words - our defense mechanism.
So in effect, the Enneagram describes nine defense mechanisms, which is how we can relate to our personalities to an extent.
Nine strategies of how to survive and thrive in this world.
Nine lenses that color everything you experience, feel, think, and see all of your life.
This is how we try to gain what we want, and avoid what we fear.
And the deeper you go into the core of it, you understand that it is how we try to survive in this world.
So the Enneagram also helps us understand why we and others act in certain ways.
Our different lenses cause almost all your conflicts, fights, relationship issues, disagreements, and even wars on a global scale, because we see, think, understand, and feel things differently because we have different lenses.
Once you can understand each other's lenses and your own, you can have a better, deeper understanding of what's really happening in your life, and other people's lives, in each and every situation.
The Enneagram goes all the way to your core fear, core needs, survival triggers, and instincts.
And that's why it's so powerful & how It changes our lives.
Because if you can understand that, and if you learn how to use that knowledge in practical ways, you can create a dramatic change in your life in practically every aspect of your life.
For example, the Enneagram can save your relationships of all kinds - friends, significant others, kids, and business.
The Enneagram is a journey of self-discovery that helps you transform your life.
It's super practical, accurate, exciting, fun, and absolutely life-changing.
It's such a transformational tool that - properly used - it succeeds in changing lives where other means fail, because once you understand how and when your safety mechanism actually brings danger, and your love attempts, the things you do to try and get love - keep people away from you, you'll start making other choices and you'll get different results in your life.
The Enneagram is a god-send and can be super practical. It has changed my life and the lives of many of my coaching clients since 2005.
But let's be honest:
With all my many years of experience practicing, studying, teaching, and coaching with the Enneagram;
And with all the real, undeniable results I saw for myself and others…
I believe that the way the Enneagram became so popular in recent years is problematic.
- Too many people are focused on what kind of coffee each type drinks or what movie they like, and have no clue about the profound psychological & life-changing insights and benefits of the Enneagram.
Now I'm not saying that I'm the only one that got it right... absolutely not! Still, the pop culture that made the Enneagram famous using catchy social media cliches is giving us not only a lot of useless information - but also a lot of dangerously misleading "tips & tricks" and "how-to."
- The endless sea of information and the ease of self-promoting makes it extremely hard to find 'the good stuff' that actually changes your life, and to know which person and what advice you can really trust on your quest for using the Enneagram to create a better life for your self and your clients.
The good news?
1. Real change is possible.
2. The Enneagram is an incredible tool for that, if you know how to work with it.
3. “Ok, Eldad, this looks very relevant for me, and it’s convincing… but who are you?”
While I’m not into singing my praise, I do understand that you might want information about me to help you decide whether to join or not. Many people need that sometimes.
So here are a few facts about me that might help you decide:
I'm the founder of the Better Life Awareness Center, where I coach and teach.
Born in 1976, I've been a certified Enneagram coach since 2009 (and a former successful self-employed lawyer.)
Thrown by chance into the deep water of managing multi-million dollars, life-saving, extremely urgent projects at the young age of 19, and excelling at that, was a massive milestone in my development.
With time, I also learned to manage another kind of 'project', and how to help others do the same:
The 'project' of having a happy, healthy life that is truly worth living.
As a former world traveler, wherever I lived, whatever I did, I saw that real happiness (& suffering) are not a result of life's circumstances and external forces. Yes, they have an effect. No, we can't control them, and no, I'm not at all into 'manifestation' as means for happiness (don't get me started on that! 🤣).
Spiritual as I am, my path is a very grounded one. It involves extreme ownership & responsibility, hard work, and integrity. And a lot of fun, curiosity, and love too.
In 2003 my life took a turn as I started studying the causes of our suffering and happiness through profound teachings on both the spiritual causes and the psychological ones.
I've been practicing transformational psychological & spiritual teachings from the East and the West daily ever since.
I've been studying, practicing, and living the Enneagram's teachings and exercises since 2005 - every single day.
As a coach, I use my vast experience to combine these powerful psychological and spiritual approaches in a unique way tailored individually to your inclinations.
I've been helping my clients achieve a happier, better life, as the many loving, grateful testimonials demonstrate better than any word I could write.
As a teacher, one of my super-powers is bringing clarity and structure into chaos - for example, by breaking down big, hard-to-grasp content such as the Enneagram's teachings into small, clear, actionable steps.
In other words, I make things easy to understand - and take action on.
I'm an expert in using extremely transformational methods such as the Enneagram, A Course In Miracles, Mindfulness, Meditation, and my own B-AIR™ system.
I was also a teaching assistant in Enneagram coaching certification courses when I lived in Israel.
I taught mindfulness, meditation, Enneagram, Course in Miracles, and yoga classes in Mexico, Israel, the United States, and Brazil - and even at the jail (volunteering, I wasn't an inmate! 🤣).
I'm also a loving father to my boy Matan, which in Hebrew means 'giving.'
My ultimate mission in life: To become the most loving being I can be, the cleanest channel for love - and help you do the same.
